1. E-Book Reports:

E-Book Reports are not meant to be typical “book reviews” but rather a way of letting the reader know what books are available that may be of interest to therapists. In addition, the reports offer an opportunity to recognize and support PT/PTA authors who take on the tremendous task of writing a book as a contribution to our profession. Adding the book to your library shelf is your decision.

2. Publishing News: Is there a PT or PTA who is in the midst of preparing a manuscript for publication on a subject that you would like to know about? Are there several therapists contemplating writing a book on the same subject? Hopefully, this website will carry news of prospective plans by potential authors who will be asked to share information with you.

3. Links:Through this website, you will be able to link up with authors, publishers and physical therapy related websites.

4. Books Available:
Books authored and signed by “Dr. Jay” include the historical biographies of Signe Brunnstrom, Drs. Karel and Berta Bobath, and William John Little, MD. Limited copies are available and may be purchased directly from PTJay.

5. Read about the author: Jay Schleichkorn, PhD, PT.

6. "Find-A-Book: A Special Project" Find-A-Book: In a special project involving years of work, Jay Schleichkorn is developing a directory of books authored, co-authored, edited, co-edited, etc, by a physical therapist or a PTA and published in English. He estimates more than 1400 books published since 1921 to the present, are now in the directory Information includes the author, book description, publisher, and annotated information about its content. Since it is “under construction” the directory has not been formally made available but if you are searching for such a book, Jay can easily check his digital files and send you what information is available. The project is tentatively titled, The Almost Complete Directory of Books by PT Practitioners or A Century Plus of Books by PT Practitioners.
